Youth Work Weekends

For the past 2 years of being in youth at my church, I have gone with them to Pine Cove to work in their kitchen for the weekend. Its awesome how we get to serve food, clean the dirty dishes for the campers, then get a couple of hours of freedom to hangout on their equipment, for free!!!

This was my 2nd time to go, and we were all hyped up and ready to be on our way. Once we arrive, we unload and just hang out for the rest of the night. The next morning, we get up early to start preparing for campers to enter the cafeteria. We fix plates full of food ready for them to pick up at the counter, and set napkins, salt, and pepper on their tables.

We fix pitchers of juice and water for them, as well.

Not only did we work behind the counter, but we also handed out food to the campers while they were seated. By the way, holding that pan isn't as easy as I make it look.

And even though we're workin, it doesn't stop us from having a great time in the process.

After we are done serving their food, we take whats left and chow down.

Every time I go, I have a great time. Cant wait until next work weekend!

For starters, y'all remember Abie right? Well, she passed away on May 2, 2013..

We had some good memories with her, and we were sad to let her go.

But now we have another, and she is a little rascal. Her name? .....
Bella!!!! She is one pampered pup, from the time we got her, to now. As soon as Mom saw her, it was clear to us that she was that lonely dog at the shelter was going to be coming home with us.

Even though she sheds like all get out, she has still been a blessing to us. She undoubtedly filled in the gap that Abie left us with.

We say that she is Grace's dog, because she basically took her in as her sister she never had. Bella follows her around everywhere, so Grace doesn't have a problem getting Bella in there with her.

We have only had her a year, and she has brought joy into our hearts more than once, and will most likely be doing so for years to come.

Blowing The Dust Off This Old Blog

Wow, lots happened since my last post! As you can see, I've decided to get back on and start posting again. There's A LOT to catch up on. I got in Boy Scouts after my last post, stayed in that for about 2 1/2 yrs., then got out. Band also was a major part of my life. Played the trumpet, and stayed from 1st to 4th chair for the past 3 yrs. Been going to my church's youth, and having the best 2 yrs. of my life so far! I've made quite a few friends there, and have helped me in more ways than just one. My family has also had there down times as well. For example, since February we have had one funeral after another. Its tough, but we get through it. I hope it stops for awhile though.

Well, that's basically got you caught up. Here are some topics that I'm planning to post. Until next time!
